League Structure

The RotoBowl season is broken up into 3 phases:.
1) Draft
2) Regular Season
3) Post Season

Phase 1 - Draft

» Each team is randomly assigned to a league on September 4, 2007.

» Leagues will consist of 12 teams in one conference. Your team will draft and compete against these 12 teams for the regular season.

» Each team is also randomly assigned a team number (1-12). Team number dictates draft position. The draft will be 3rd Round Reversal style. The first five rounds of the draft will go 1-12, 12-1, 12-1, 1-12, 12-1 and then continue with the regular serpentine order.

Phase 2 - Regular Season

» The regular season runs from week 1 through week 12.

» Each team will play 2 games per week for a total of 23 games in the RotoBowl regular season (See Note).

» Game 1 - Head to Head

» Each week, your team will play head to head against one other team in your league. You will play each team head to head once.

» Game 2 - Top 6 / Bottom 6

» Additionally, each week the Top 6 scoring teams in each league will receive a win, while the bottom 6 teams will receive a loss.

» Weekly Possible Outcomes

» Each week, your team will either go 2-0, 0-2 or 1-1.

» Note: In week 12, you will not face an opponent head to head. You will only play the Top 6 / Bottom 6 game.

Phase 3 - Postseason

» Week 13 - League Championship Game

» On Week 13, the 2 teams with the best record in each league will face each other in the League Championship Game. The winner of this game will be the League Champion and be awarded $750. The loser will be the runner-up (2nd place) and receive $300.

» Also on Week 13, the 3rd and 4th seed from each league will face each other for the 3rd place prize of $100 and the right to enter the RotoBowl postseason. The 3rd seed is the team with the most points that is not in the League Championship Game. The 4th seed is the team with the best record that is not in the League Championship Game or is already the 3rd seed.

Postseason - RotoBowl Post-Season Tournament

» From Weeks 14-16, the RotoBowl Post-Season Championship Tournament will take place to decide the Overall RotoBowl Champion and the other Overall Winners.

» The Championship Tournament will consist of every participant in the League Championship Game (2 per league) in addition to the 3rd place winner from each league as well as as predetermined amount of wildcard teams (to be announced at a later date).

» RotoBowl Post-Season Championship Tournament winners will be determined based on their cumulative fantasy point totals from Weeks 14-16, in addition to their average weekly score from Weeks 1-13.

Postseason - Consolation Bowl

» The RotoBowl Consolation Bowl will take place from Weeks 13-16.

» The Consolation Bowl will consist of every team who did not make the RotoBowl Post-Season Championship Tournament.

» Consolation Bowl winners will be determined based on their cumulative fantasy point totals from weeks 13-16.
